  1. Day 1 Arrive Dublin – sightseeing (1 Night)

Ireland’s 'fair' capital kick-starts your exhilarating encounter with the 'Emerald Isle'. After check-in, don’t resist the youthful energy of Dublin and take to its streets in search of its characteristic craic. You’ll join your Local Specialist later for a sightseeing tour which includes views of St. Patrick's Cathedral and Trinity College. Tap into Dublin’s effervescent spirit and head to Temple Bar or Grafton Street on your own this evening. There’s a colourful pub on every corner, with happy locals and tourists spilling out on to the pavements. You could be one of them. Sláinte!

  2. Day 2 Dublin – Boyle – Knock – Ballina (2 Nights)

It seems almost impossible that a place as arrestingly beautiful as Ireland exists, but it does. Its famous countryside glows green and gold as you venture west, every turn in the road revealing yet another magnificent view. There’s no better way to admire this enchanting scenery than on an Optional Experience cruise along the Shannon River, the longest river in the British Isles. Later, view the ruins of the 12th-century Boyle Abbey before arriving in Knock. It was here in 1879 that villagers witnessed an apparition of Our Lady and today pilgrims the world over visit the village’s Marian Shrine. Later, head to your hotel in Ballina where you’ll dine tonight. Maybe opt to join in a chorus or two at a cosy pub with the locals.

    meals Breakfast, Dinner
    hotel Twin Trees
  3. Day 3 Belleek (Northern Ireland) – County Donegal excursion

Cross the border into Northern Ireland this morning for a visit to the Belleek Pottery Centre. Its elegant fine porcelain has been gracing dining tables all over the world for over a century and you’ll have an opportunity to buy a Shamrock-adorned memento for yourself during your visit. Head to Donegal next where you’ll view its 15th-century castle. Then, continue past the harbour town of Mullaghmore, before returning to your hotel in Ballina.

    meals Breakfast

  4. Day 4 Ballina – Westport – Galway – County Limerick (2 Nights)

Discover why Westport on Ireland’s west coast justifiably earns its title as Ireland’s most liveable town. It certainly is one of the prettiest as you’ll see first-hand when you travel through it and the breathtaking coastal landscape of Connemara, captured in John Wayne’s acclaimed 'The Quiet Man'. Visit Galway next to see the cathedral and a stroll around Eyre Square, also known as John F. Kennedy Memorial Park. Our orientation drive through Limerick includes views of the city’s medieval-era St. Mary’s Cathedral and King John's Castle. Tonight you can dine like lords and ladies at a medieval banquet Optional Experience in the great hall of a castle. A court jester and the castle’s musicians will keep you entertained in the manner to which you’ve become accustomed. More mead, anyone?

    hotel Castle Oaks House
  5. Day 5 Cliffs of Moher excursion

Peer over the edge of the emerald-topped cliffs to the crashing waves of the Atlantic below. The rugged and wild Cliffs of Moher have been proclaimed a UNESCO World Heritage Site and for good reason. Spot the curious colourful-beaked puffins that have settled along this western coast and visit the magnificent Cliffs of Moher exhibition, before continuing to Limerick, where the rest of your day is free. Take a step back to the 19th century with an Optional Experience to Bunratty Folk Park exploring its village dotted with thatched cottages and the 15th-century castle.

    meals Breakfast, Dinner
    hotel Castle Oaks House
  6. Day 6 County Limerick – Ring of Kerry – Tralee (1 Night)

Leave Ireland’s first 'City of Culture' behind for a journey across stunning landscapes in the wild west. Keep your camera at hand as your scenic drive around the 'Ring of Kerry' passes colourful villages, deserted beaches and quiet fishing harbours. Later arrive in Tralee in County Kerry, where the Rose of Tralee International Festival attracts Irish women from around the world to compete for the crown of 'Rose'. You’re in for a spectacular performance of Irish music, song and dance performed by champion dancers and musicians should you choose to join this evening’s Optional Experience.

    meals Breakfast, Dinner
    hotel Earl of Desmond
  7. Day 7 Tralee – Blarney – Dublin (1 Night)

Kiss the Blarney Stone and acquire the 'gift of the gab' on your visit to Blarney Castle this morning. Then it’s time to return to Dublin where you’ll put your silver tongue to good use during an evening optional dinner and Irish show that will have your toes tapping and taste buds craving another round of Irish coffee. It will be time well spent with new friends after a memorable holiday.

    meals Breakfast
    hotel Clayton Leopardstown
  8. Day 8 Depart Dublin

And just like that your enchanting exploration of the 'Emerald Isle' has come to an end. You’ve seen ancient churches, castles and towering cliffs, had your fair share of the craic and seen beautiful landscapes that many only encounter in pictures. All that’s left is to say a fond slán go fóill as you prepare for your return journey home. Find out more about your available transfers at costsavertour.com/transfers.

James was a wonderful tour guide. He was knowledgeable, funny and very organized. Aidan was a fantastic driver. He impressed us all with his ability to navigate very narrow streets! I can’t believe how much we saw in just one week. Ireland was beautiful, the people were friendly, and I can’t wait to go again.

The tour itself was amazing however my get tour agent did not book a direct flight when They could have.
Response from Grand European Travel:
We are so happy to hear that you enjoyed Ireland. The airlines have been changing and reducing flight schedules for for the past several months. We always book the most direct flights available at the time of booking your trip but often the nonstop options do coincide with our tour dates.

while working with my GET Travel Specialist - he made me feel very comfortable with my vacation plans and helped throughout the booking experience with ease. Since i was traveling alone, he made sure I had all the info I needed before I left for Ireland. I will use GET for all my traveling from now on. These folks were better and far more informational than my local travel agent. They truly are the best at what they do.
Vacation
I traveled to Ireland [Solo] but on a group tour of about 40. [Irish Wonder] I had the time of my life - meet some wonderful people from all over the world and got to see the most amazing scenery and seascapes that one could only imagine. Our Travel Director [Cerrie H.] was so fun, entertaining and very informative!! She made sure everyone was comfortable and happy during our 8 day journey. Our Coach Driver [Aiden] was also terrific and could maneuver that big bus like a BOSS thru the small villages we visited. I couldn't seem to get enough Castles visits - and we saw and toured several !! The Cliffs of Moher was definitely my favorite along with the Dingle Peninsula & Galway. The Emerald Isle is a must see even if you don't have any Irish running thru your veins!

Service and trip was great and worth every penny. Disappointed with the AON travel insurance we purchased thru GET, request from another insurance company Not AON. Original flight was cancelled due no crew available and AON refused to cover due to not being weather or mechanically related. ( We lost 2.5 days which GET refunded! )

GET put together a great tour of Ireland that had an excellant Tour Director (Cerri) & Bus Driver (Adian), that brought us into places we would have never thought of going ourselves. It was great to sit back and enjoy the beautiful country side, and listen to stories that made the history of this country. They say tht there are 37 shades of green in Ireland, Get made it possible for us to see them all!
Vacation
Great bang for the buck! Disappointed with American Airlines. They cancelled flight and we missed first 2.5 days of our tour. Glad we took out the insurance plan, hoping to get some $$$$ back that we lost in out of pocket and catching up with our tour. Recommend in future if taking a tour 1) take the Insurance...2) plan in a few days in the front of the vacation in case of delays occur!
